"The Historic Sports Car Club will celebrate the winners and champions from the 2018 season during its spectacular Annual Dinner Dance and Awards Presentation at Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone on Saturday 17 November.
Over 250 members and their guests will be there along with guest of honour, former Le Mans and BTCC racer, Anthony Reid. The evening will be the Club’s final major event in Grahame White’s 20-year term as the Club’s Chief Executive Officer as he steps back from the role at the end of the year.
The award winners from the Club’s 16 championships and race series will be honoured during the evening and the Club’s impressive array of special annual awards and trophies will also be presented. The awards presentations will be followed by live music and dancing into the early hours of the morning.
Reid has raced all over the world in a career spanning nearly 40 years and has enjoyed success across sports car, touring car and GT racing. He finished third overall at Le Mans in 1990 and later spent nine seasons in the BTCC as a works driver, twice finishing runner-up in the championship. In recent seasons he has competed extensively in historic racing and was invited to be guest of honour by HSCC board member Marcus Pye.
Members and friends can now book tickets for the event and are encouraged to contact the Club office as soon as possible."
